We spent the morning collecting non perishable items for a city wide inter faith food drive. It is the second year that they have done this and last year they collected $580,000.000 worth of food in one day. Hopefully they will be as successful this year. It was really good for the kids to help out and serve.

You may be interested to know that the food bank reports this years collection yielded $634,972 of donations on the first day. They expect another 20,000 lbs. of donations to come in over the coming days.
