O.K. I am not the best blogger. I always have good intentions though.

This morning the girls woke up to our first real snow storm and were very ready to go outside and play. They had a good time (we have a slope in our back yard that makes for a good little sled hill) they had fun with the sled and making snow angels. And J got to watch from the window!

We decided this year we would spend more time together doing activities and less money on presents and toys for Christmas. So today we went to the movies; we saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I loved this movie is was so good, very cute! I highly recommend it. Rachel was a bit bored but Sydney and Jenna loved it. It was a great feel good movie.

Its about time I sit down and do this. It's not that we haven't had anything going on its that we have had too much going on. I will give a brief overview.

I spent the end of September and half of October canning and I surly don't feel like an armature anymore! Physical therapy is going. I haven't had much improvement since the first 2 weeks I went. So now I am wearing a brace at night the stretches my arm to a straight position and yes it is as much fun as it sounds. I will find out if it is working on Monday when I go back but another surgery looks to be in my future.

The kids and I caravaned with my sister Andrea to Arizona to visit our other sister Cheri. We had lots of fun, it was hot. We went to a splash park, a kids amusement park, and we spent a lot of time talking and the kids spent a lot of time playing. We had a really good time. Thanks Cheri or should I say thanks for putting up with us Cory.

JD's work is still plugging along as he is studying for the LARE the test to become licensed as a landscape architect.

Sydney is loving school and she is inseparable with her best friend Annie.

Jenna has absorbed school! She has learned so much and is doing great with her beginning reading. She had her tonsils out on the 23rd and has been a trooper. I didn't realize what a big deal having your tonsils out was. We did have a scary episode on Thursday morning at 3:00 am one of the scabs came off and she was bleeding quite badly so JD took her to the ER. Jenna was so brave when the doctor came in and cauterized it. The doctor said Jenna was the first 5 year old she has ever been able to cauterize without going into surgery. JD was so proud of her, WHAT A BRAVE GIRL!!!

Rachel what can I say about her. I swear a devil and an angel live in that girl. Or maybe its just being a 3 year old. I do have so much fun with her though; it has been nice to have one on one time with her while Syd and Jenna are at school and J is asleep.

J is such a cute boy! He is starting to look like a boy and not so much like a baby. He took to crawling soon after my last blog and loves his new freedom! I would feed him and put him on the floor and he was happy for hours. He is a human vacuum. He can find the tiniest piece of anything and into the mouth it goes. He is now pulling himself up to everything. When he want you to pick him up he will shake your pant legs or in JD's case pull himself up with JD's leg hairs. His new thing now is too point at everything he wants; it is too cute!!!

Halloween was crazy but I think it is for everyone. We had a family Halloween party and Sydney's school program. I am a very lame mom and didn't get any pictures of my kids in their costumes I take that back I did get one of Jenna but she was crying because she didn't want to go to school. (it was her first day back since her surgery). Sydney was a renaissance princess, Jenna was a butterfly, Rachel was a pink ballerina, and J was a terribly cute frog. J, Rachel and I made it up to the school for the parade. I did have the camera but J was so helpful I didn't get to take any pictures. We came home and made caramel apples and went to share them at JD's office and then back home to carve pumpkins. We let the kids draw their own faces on them. They all turned out great but I have to admit I think Rachel's was my favorite (she is the age where she is drawing people without the body; you know the head with the arms and legs).

I hope our November is slow and uneventful. We are excited for Thanksgiving. This holiday is one that I really missed while we were away.

O yea in the mist of our crazy 6 weeks we had our family pictures taken. I hope the pictures don't bore you, there are a lot.

It has been a very very busy 2 weeks. I started physical therapy can I just say OUCH!!!! No pain no gain right? I have to go 3 times a week and it is becoming a bit inconvient I feel like I cant get anything done. Its a 30 min drive there an hour at therapy and a 30 min drive back. JD has been taking his lunch break and going in a bit early so he can watch the kids. Which has been really nice to not have to find sitters all of the time. But his has been a big sacrifice on his part and I think he is getting bit tired of it. But I have made a bit of progress 40 degrees in a week. I am still really stiff and sore but hopefully it will all be worth it. The kids still love school and J is so funny I have never seen a baby try so hard to crawl and not be able to do it. We keep trying to help him but he just needs to figure it out on his own. O yea and hip hip horray Sydney learned how to ride her bike this week she is so happy and proud of herself. She loves her new freedom.

Last week we went the Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband concert with JD's sisters and their husbands. We had so much fun it was a great concert and fun entertainers! Something we plan on doing again next year.

Last Sunday we went to Temple Square here are a few pictures of our time there.

Congrats to JD's sister Lisa and her husband Greg they had baby number 4 today, Boston Gregory Jolley, 6 lbs 12 oz and 22 inches long. He is cute and has great chicken legs. His 3 sisters will just love him to pieces.

What a cute boy! I left him playing with his toys and went to put the girls in bed and when I came downstairs this is how I found him. What a crazy kid.

We went to Pocatello for the long weekend for my Dads side of the family's reunion. I was nice to see everyone a lot of the kids had grown up so much. I have something like 60 cousins on that side of the family what a posterity for my Grandma!

We met up with some friends, Nate and MyrLynn Hill. Its been a long time since we have seen them and their kids. It has been nice to be with people we haven't seen for a long time.

I have spent the week canning peaches and have decide I am a amachure. Maybe some day I will get the hang of it. I also started physical therapy and she said I am very very tight and have to go see her 3 times a week agh!

The girls are doing well in school and JD's work is same old same old. He has been working hard getting the garage cleaned and putting up shelves it looks so nice. His next project is getting the storage room finished in the basement.

Here are some pictures of the girls first day of school. Syd loves 2nd grade her teacher is brand new and is so excited and full of energy. I know Syd will just thrive this year. Jenna's first day went great. She was so excited! She was so ready to start she would ask me every day when she got to go and when it was finally the day she could bearly sit still. She walked right into the classroom and never looked back.

Well the summer has offically came to an end for us. Syd started school last Tuesday and Jenna starts this Tuesday. It is so nice to get back in to a routine. I thought I would do a quick run down of the summer since there wasn't much blogging going on. There was lots going on from swimming lessons, family reunions at the beach, dinosaur museum and the cabin. The girls had fun with slip and slides, cousins and of course Rachel's 3rd birthday. I put in a few picutres of the hospital and my scar because this crazy summer wouldn't complete with out it! Hello Everyone. J is starting to figure out how to get on his hands and knees and it probably won't be long before he has the crawling thing figured out also. Anyway, on a side note Sydney has started school and Jenna starts next Tuesday. I am dying trying to keep up with a running challenge from my Canadian counterparts. My whole body hurts. Everyone is healthy and things are looking better for the most part. Christy's elbow is healing nicely but her range of motion is still limited, but she is more independent, which makes everyone happier. Other then that things are pretty normal. Take care everyone.

here is a quick up date. i went to the dr. yesterday and things look good i get to start passive movement which i have to admit is quite hard i dont know if its because its stiff or i am a chicken. i go get fitted for a brace today it is suppost to make it easier to do my exercises during the day. i go back to the dr. again in 2 weeks then he will do more xrays and make sure the movement hasnt caused the screws to move.
we have spent the past 2 weeks at family reunions. it has been nice to be with everyone. when jd has time i will see if he will post some pictures.
another quick thanks to everyone that has helped! i couldnt do it with out you.

Well life here has been turned upside down. Hence the long time since our last post. 3 weeks ago I broke my right arm. So I am plunking this out one key at a time with my left hand. So I am sure this will be a short post because my patience is short. To make a long story short I was out helping Sydney ride her bike I was running next to her and just as I let go of the seat she turned her handlebars and I gracefully went over the wheel. A quick trip to the ER found out I that I had broke and dislocated a piece of my humerus (my elbow) and I needed surgery to have it fixed. So they put a splint on it and told us to call the surgeon the next day. When we called we found out it was an unusual break and no one would or could do the surgery. After calling every orthopedic surgeon from Logan to Springville we did finally found a trauma surgeon and I had surgery a week later. After a 2 day stay in the hospital and lots of morphine. I was back home but I have to be in a splint and have keep my arm immobile for a total of 4 weeks. A very hard thing to do with 4 kids especially J. It has been hard not to be able to hold him and take care of him. JD has been wonderful to pick up the slack. My mom came for a week and a half and my sisters have came to take care of us also. Thanks so much everyone! Here are the pics I still can't look at them they make me sick!

Hello Everyone. We just got back from our first ever family vacation that wasn't a family reunion. We went to my sister's (Angie) house in Reno, Nevada over the Memorial Weekend and we had a blast. We arrived Friday night and the girls were so excited that they didn't go to bed until 23:30. Then next day we went to Lake Tahoe and spent the day there. The weather was perfect the whole time especially the day at the lake. In fact it was so warm and because the sand is darker in color I burnt my feet walking to the water. Which was good because the water was freezing cold but after 20 minutes your legs were numb enough that it didn't bother you anymore. The girls had a blast and we just took it easy. On Sunday, we celebrated my birthday and I cooked some BBQ ribs, which I must way were awesome. I am getting better at making them, but I have yet to get the BBQ sauce right, I will continue to tweak it until I get it right. On Monday we all went girl fishing and I was so impressed with Sydney and Jenna. They caught on (no pun intended) after just a couple of cast and they fished by themselves the rest of the day. We went on a quick little hike and then headed back to the house. Angie, Jeff, Christy and I then went out for supper and a movie and had a fantastic time. Angie and Jeff were awesome host and we couldn't have done it without them; so, thanks guys, we had a great time. We headed back on Tuesday and had a bit of humor right at the get go. When you leave from Angie's house, the freeway splits twice one right after the other. Well to make a long story short Christy and I were both on the phone at that time and I only noticed the first split. So after about 35 minutes of driving Christy and I noticed a sign that read Sacramento 111 miles. Oops. So I turned around and an hour later we were right back were we started and on our way home. Its been a long time since I have posted anything. Life is just plugging along around here. It its warm and as Sydney told JD "its much warmer here than it is in Canada" We are getting use to it and I was trying to hold off until June to turn on the AC but I couldn't do it. I finally broke down today.

We are getting anxious to start our yard. As many of you know we bought a model home and the plants they picked were awful and the sidewalk that they had running from showhome to showhome has been ripped out, leaving a nice trench in our front yard. We really ready to start it since every one around us has very nice yards and ours is horriable. I hate telling people what JD does for a profession. I hope to post before and after pictures soon.

We went and attempted family pictures yesterday J was fussy and they we just ok. Its funny to see your kids personality in picutres Jenna was making a face in most of the pictures, Rachel wouldn't smile, and Sydney was trying to do exactly what we asked but her eyes told a different story. Silly kids I just love them to pieces.

I took J to the doctor today for his 4 month visit a month late and found out why he was fussy yesterday. He had an ear infection poor guy! So we were at the pharmacy for another antibiotic. I don't know what is wrong with us I think someone has been on antiobiotics since we moved here. 3 weeks ago Jenna had strep thorat for the 3rd time since December and 2 weeks ago I got mastitis. I don't think we went the the doctor so much the whole time we were in Canada when it was free. Ahhhhh Hopefully we won't have anyone sick now that its summer. Knock on wood!

It has been busy but fun past two weeks. Full of friends, easter and birthday.

We were so excited to have Shipleys come for conference. It was fun seeing them and we really missed them and all of our other friends in Canada. We had fun at The Thanksgiving Point farm. The girls loved seeing Boston and Madison. They were great to have around. We were able to see the Wolff's too.

We had lots of fun for Easter the girls had 2 easter egg hunts and too much candy. We were able to meet up with JD's family for Easter dinner. Something that was nice to do after 3 years of being gone.

Tuesday was Jenna's birthday something she has waited for and was so excited to turn 5. We went to build a bear and loved every minute of it she was so cute and knew exactly what she wanted. Then we went to a place that had about 10 different kinds of bounce tents the kids had so much fun and played for about 3 hours. It was really cool JD and I could go too we had lots of fun with the kids and was a real work out I hate to admit that I was sore that evening. Then she asked for a pet so JD took her to the pet store and almost came back with a mouse but with my protest they came home with a fire bellied toad (much better than a mouse) which Jenna named Sarah. She was so cute all day and has grown up so much. She is so excited to be five. We love you Jenna!

Christy went and had J's picture taken at a kids photo place. If you guess Kiddie Kandied; your right. You probably could tell by the sweet pose. Anyway he is a pretty good kid. The family is now slowly starting to get better. The other night I was coughing so hard that I pulled a muscle in back and tweaked my neck. So I decided that is was finally time that I went into the doctor. So after being sick for three and half weeks, I was diagnosed with post pnuemonia, a sinus infection, and strep throat. Needless to say that when the doctor told me that I was sick, I wanted to slap him. After a shot that hurt like hell, 2000mg of Ogmentum a day for the next 10 days, and some sweet cough syrup; hopefully I will start feeling better. The kids are doing well and adjusting to life in the USA. The other day we drove by an American flag and Jenna looked up at it and said "Look Dad, the Statue of Liberty". You got to love Jenna. She still can't figure out which flag is which. Well take care and keep us posted on life, where ever you may be.

What a stinker. She is an independent 2 year old. She got her own cereal and makes her own hot chocolate! She even got her own cough syrup and drank half of the bottle on Saturday. After the panic and calling poison control and found out everything we going to be ok. We had a good laugh at her because she was pretty goofy. She could berely stay on her feet and couldn't walk strait. She kept walking I mean staggering around say in a very loud slurred voice "I feel better" and she did for a bit till she got off her high and threw everything up. It was a great lesson for all of us. 1.) I need to put the medicine away right after I we use it and 2.) I need to keep a better eye on her. It was a good lesson for Sydney and Jenna too about drugs. Rachel on the down of the cough medicine wasn't a pretty sight. This was an experience we never want to have again!

Well I figured it was time to update our blog. Life has been busy and we are starting to feel settled in. We are enjoying our new house, but I still feel like I am on vacation everytime I go somewhere. It still hasn't sunk in that we live here now.

JD is really enjoying his new job. He loves the people he works with and is excited about the change. He says he is really going to enjoy the new things he is learning. I say he better because I am don't want to move again for a very very long time.

I am finally glad to have our life in order. I have spent hours on the phone and computer getting everything together from insurance to bank accounts to buying a van. It is so nice to have a car of my own. It took us sometime to find and buy a van and JD's sister was kind enough to trade us her Pilot for our car so we could get around with our whole family. Not a very fair trade THANKS LISA!

Sydney started school right after we got here and has done very very well she loves school, her teacher and her new friends. She is so excited to be a "walker" and insists on walking home alone. Good thing we live close and there are a TON of kids that walk home at the same time. It has come in kind of handy too so I don't have to truck all of the kids up the street to pick her up. She is so mature and such a big helper, she has made the school trasition easy on both of us. O yea and she turned 7 on the 1st she again got a bike for her birthday maybe this summer we will be able to ride it since every other summer its been packed up or we have been gone.

Jenna is Jenna what more can I say. I love her to pieces! We were laughing the other day because some of the kids were walking around with there hands in ther pockets and Jenna was doing it it too and JD had to tell her she couldn't because she wouldn't be able to catch her self when she falls. Poor thing, maybe one of these days she will be able to keep her balance. She loves being by her cousins and has made a new freind across the street who has a castle for a bed and Jenna thinks it is the neatest thing ever. She did have a break down today and said she wanted to go back to Canada. She misses her friends and her old house. We all miss Canada.

Rachel has grown us so much to me. She talks so well but she is so tiny its sometimes hard to tell how old she is. We are working on learning her colors which can be very funny because she usually guesses but she is getting better! Her and Jenna are becoming good friends and play very well together.

J is growing so much he is already out of his 0-3 month clothes and he is bearly 2 months it won't be long till he passes Rachel in weight. I love him so much; he is a pretty good baby. We are working on sleeping through the night maybe one of these days I will get him on a schedule were things can be a bit more routine. He is getting used to his sisters. Today Rachel was talking to him and he was talking back. It was so cute she was telling him they were going to be friends. He is starting to smile and coo I love this age. We had his blessing last Sunday he looked handsome and we were glad to have most to all of our family here but were really missing our Canadian family. We didnt get many pictures taken with trying to be the the hosts of 60 people but I will post his blessing pictures when I get them taken.

Well that is the low down on us. Everyone is sick right now but J and I and we are hoping to keep it that way. We have been cooped up in the house and hope everyone gets healthy very very soon. I will try to be better about updating our blog.

We are slowly packing up I keep telling JD that I think I am so unmotivated to do it because I am in denial about leaving. I am excited about the change and to be by family but really sad to be leaving all of our friends. If we could just pick up Tuscany and move it with us this would be a whole lot easier.

Wendy and Julie had a shower for J and I and we were given alot of great stuff! Now I feel like he has some clothes to wear and some to grow into. I had a great time visiting and didn't come home until 11:30. JD just shook his head when I walked in the door and said "I don't get you guys how can you talk that long" Thanks everyone! Times like that makes me know how much we are going to miss it here.

Well I better get back to packing AGHHHHHH!

Sorry its taken so long to update our blog. We are adjusting to the change of having a new addition to our home. We had a great Christmas and it was wonderful having my Mom and Dad here. The girls loved having them around and it was really nice to not have to worry about them every morning. Between my Mom, Dad, and J.D. I was able to sleep in!!! J. is a great baby. He is tollerant of all the noises the girls make and besides having to wake him every 3 hours to eat so he didn't have to go under the lights for jaundice we have all adjusted very well to the change. I was worried about Rachel, but she really loves him; always wanting to hold him and is always willing to run grab me a diaper or 2 or 10. I can't tell yet who he looks like. He has the biggest hands and longest fingers I have ever seen on a baby and the sleeves on his clothes are not quite long enough. That should make Grandpa Jeff happy; maybe he will be tall and a great basketball player! We are so blessed to have him. What an awesome Christmas present.

Our Christmas was great, we spent the whole day in our PJ's and just relaxed. The girls (really JD) got a Wii and it has been played alot. Sydney just kicked JD's butt in Mario Cart. JD is just like a kid, he said he gets so excited to play at night, this is something he has wanted for a very long time!

Also, just to let you know. We have sold our house and our perpective moving date is Jan. 19th. We have been so blessed this past year and we thank all of you for your prays. Thank you.
